Abstract Psidium guajava L. is an evergreen small tree or shrub of Myrtaceae Psidium . Native to tropical America, the optimum temperature for growth is 23-28℃ and it is commonly cultivated fruit trees in Taiwan. Taiwan's main cultivars are pearl(珍珠拔), emperor(帝王拔), zhencui(珍翠), crystal (水晶拔)and red meat guava(紅肉番石榴). The market has the largest variety of pearl(珍珠拔), which are easy to cultivate and manage. The market share of pearl(珍珠拔) is 95%, the planting area is about 7,171 hectares, the output is about 182,479 metric tons, and the output value is about 4.5 billion (COA, 2020) which is the characteristic fruit of Taiwan. In order to Compose the global guava industry, and in the event integrate the strategy of intellectual property rights as an important development trend in guava, it could be possibly to develop relevant technology licensing and commercialization strategies of guava industry. In the future, the application of intellectual property rights in guava in the agricultural related technology market will grow substantially. It is expected to create incentives for the development of new varieties, technologies and products so as to continually innovate and develop guava-related industries of Taiwan. Therefore, it is hoped that through the bibliometrics, patent analysis and layout suggestions of related references or technologies, it could assist research units or researchers in positioning the research and development direction, effectively carry out patent layout, and overall improve the guava industrial development of Taiwan.
