Agroecological strategies and systems offer tangible benefits in terms of biodiversity, resilience, productive capacity, income, ability to meet the needs of future generations. Additionally they allow the limitation/ exclusion of external inputs and the obtainment of a basket of products through the efficient use of natural resources. Erosion, which is putting the ecosystems and villages of many territories at risk, is indeed a genetic, social, soil erosion, but it is above all a cultural and knowledge erosion, which can be successfully counteracted through the construction of solid local and international networks, positioning AgroEcology, therefore Knowledge, Biodiversity, Health, at the center. In this context, Agroecological Lighthouses have been established in Italy and many events and Summer Schools have been organized as a part of the International PASS (Participatory AgroEcology School System) Project, which recognizes to AgroEcology an essential role in safeguarding agriculture, the environment and the planet and identifies it as a powerful training tool, highly functional for the transmission of scientific knowledge. Among the objectives achieved: development and management of resilient viticultural systems, creation of a trans-frontalier laboratory, proposal of innovative educational offers, development of transversal skills through agroecology, transmission of the value of agroecology to the territory and society.
