Through monitoring of operations in the various production basins by so-called "network researchers", and through six-year experimental projects to develop cropping systems that break with current systems, the DEPHY network for the fruit, vegetables and horticulture sectors shows strong decrease trends in the use of plant protection products measured by the Treatment Frequency Index (TFI). It allows a concrete characterization of the impact of the levers used and effective to achieve these reductions. However, the interpretation framework needs to be clarified and other indicators need to be defined to take into account the specificities of each sector. Finally, the use of alternative methods highlights research themes to be worked on.
