S19 - Session P6 - Raspberry floricane dieback in northern Italy: the cane vigor influence and the evaluation of primocane basal defoliation managment in double crop system

The activity 2 evaluates the effect of primocane basal defoliation managment to allow more efficient agronomic treatments.The preliminary data from the activity 1 showed that the smaller section canes ( < 0.99 cm) affected positively in statistically significantly way all collected data. The activity 2 suggested positive results in term of yield production for raspberry plants samples defoliated, but there are no differences in the cane classification scale for disease incidence. In conclusions this work increases understanding of the cv Grandeur ® floricane dieback sugegsting some possible crop managment strategies.
